Whatever you’re looking for, North Down has a retail mix to suit the most discerning of shoppers from unique boutiques, exquisite antiques, to speciality shops, quality jewellery, inspirational art and big-name brands of the Town Centre.

Bangor is the hub of North Down due to the wealth of choice, award winning restaurants, cosy cafes and plentiful accommodation - all within easy reach of Bangor town centre.

The local market takes place each Wednesday morning between 7am and 1pm. With over 40 stalls to choose from it is one of Northern Ireland's largest outdoor markets. Located just off Main Street behind Asda in the town centre, it sells a variety of stalls selling fresh food, fish, plants and much more.

The town centre features a mix of UK multiples, brand names typical of the High Street and independents. The wealth of choice continues towards the outskirts of the town with various retail parks and shopping centres.

Holywood is renowned for its chic and charming boutiques, giftware, florists, delicatessens, coffee shops and art galleries. Quality is keynote. The trend in its retail trade is to offer something ‘different’ with the emphasis on top-class.

To finish off a delightful afternoon in Holywood, choose from one of the many quaint eateries in the town centre.

Better still Holywood is so easy to get to by car, bus or train. Holywood is just 5 minutes away from Belfast by train and 20 minutes from Bangor, and the Holywood stop is just a 2 minute walk from the town centre.

For home and electrical good, IKEA is located at the Holywood Exchange just outside Holywood town alongside Decathlon, Sainsbury’s, Harvey Norman Furniture, Next Home, BHS Home and B&Q.
