Experienced local skipper Brian Meharg runs two boats from Bangor. Fishing trips depart from the Eisenhower Pier twice daily in July and August at 9am and 7pm and weekends in Autumn. Short sea cruises run from Pickie Fun Park at weekends in May, June, September and daily July and August at 2pm. Additional fishing, bird watching and sight seeing trips run throughout the summer.

Portavoe Reservoir is a Fisheries Conservation Board public fishery stocked with rainbow and brown trout (fly only). Rod licence and permit required. Disabled Access, with reserved parking at North East end. Telephone for details.
