Road
Most of North Down lies along the A2 Belfast-Bangor road. This is a dual carriageway for most of its length giving easy access to the M1 and M2 motorways.
Bangor is 14 road miles (22km) from Belfast via Holywood, 87 miles (140km) from Derry/L’Derry, 117 miles (187km) from Dublin, and 200 miles (320km) from Shannon.
